Daniel. Videographer in Seoul.

Daniel is a cinematographer and time-lapse photographer based in South Korea. After earning a B.A. in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago in 2008, he moved to Seoul with plans to live abroad temporarily before starting his career in New York or Los Angeles. However, South Korea quickly became home, and over a decade later, Daniel has established a thriving career as a freelance cameraman in the region.

His portfolio includes a wide range of work—from narrative films and documentaries to corporate and branded content for international clients and broadcasters. Though based in Korea, Daniel has traveled extensively for work, with filming credits across South Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia.

Technically adept, Daniel works across a variety of formats, including 35mm and 16mm film, DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and industry-leading digital systems such as RED and ARRI. His adaptability and experience make him a valuable asset on productions of all scales and styles.

Beyond his work as a cinematographer, Daniel has taken on directing and producing roles. He directed Sedae, a feature-length Korean documentary exploring generational divides, and They Say It’s Wonderful, a musical film shot in Cape Town.
